The Sierra Leone Land Administration Project (SLLAP) has successfully conducted a pre-bid meeting with prospective bidders for the civil works contract for the construction of the National Land Commission Headquarters in Freetown and Regional Offices in Bo, Kenema, Makeni, and Port Loko.
Following the meeting, representatives of the Project, consultants, and intending bidders embarked on physical visits to the proposed construction sites across the respective locations. The site visits provide bidders with the opportunity to assess existing site conditions, gain a better understanding of the technical aspects of the proposed works, and familiarize themselves with the project requirements and specifications.
The exercise also enables prospective bidders to seek clarification on any technical or contractual issues before preparing and submitting their bids. This helps ensure that all bidders have access to the same information, promoting fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity throughout the procurement process.
The pre-bid meeting and site inspections form an important part of the World Bank-supported procurement process, reinforcing the Sierra Leone Land Administration Project’s commitment to openness, accountability, and competitive bidding in the implementation of key infrastructure projects that will strengthen land administration services across the country.
