The Sierra Leone Land Administration Project (SLLAP) has successfully established Land Tribunals, Village Area Land Committees, Chiefdom Land Committees, and a District Grievance Redress Committee in Bombali District.
This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Country Planning, the National Land Commission, the National Council of Paramount Chiefs, and civil society groups, aims to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of land administration.
During the training session, participants were introduced to the KoboCollect mobile digital data collection system, which will aid in gathering village profiles and committee memberships.
The formation of the District Grievance Redress Committee ensures that community concerns regarding the land reform process are addressed effectively.
This event marks the final phase of a series of successful initiatives, following similar events in Kenema, Bo, Bonthe, and Port Loko, solidifying a comprehensive framework for improved land governance across the project areas.
