The mission is led by Task Team Leader (TTL), Camille Bourguignon-Roger, alongside Assistant Task Team Leader, Dr. Samuel Mohamed Kamara and Land Administration Specialist, Garvin Adlington.

As part of this mission, the team is engaging in productive meetings with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), paramount chiefs, members of the Project Coordination Unit (PCU), representatives from the Ministry of Lands, the National Land Commission (NLC), and the Legal Aid Board.

These discussions are focused on assessing the current status of the project, identifying challenges, and exploring strategies to enhance land governance in Sierra Leone.

The World Bank’s commitment to supporting this initiative reflects its dedication to helping Sierra Leone achieve its sustainable development goals through effective land management.

“We are encouraged by the collaborative spirit we have witnessed thus far,” said Camille, the Task Team Leader. “Engaging stakeholders at all levels is essential for the success of the SLLAP, and we look forward to continuing our work together to overcome challenges and leverage opportunities for progress.”

The ongoing meetings facilitate open dialogue, allowing stakeholders to share valuable insights and experiences that will inform the project’s next steps. The World Bank team has emphasized the importance of inclusive participation in land administration processes, ensuring that the voices of all community members are heard.
